You get an error “A previous program installation created pending file operations on the installation machine. You must restart the computer before running setup.” while installing SQL ? Follow the below instructions for the solution
- Exit the installer and then :
- Click START, RUN type regedit
- Go to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
- Delete PendingFileRenameOperations
- Start the install process again.
This will solve the above problem.
